Gina Stahl-Haven, M.A. teaches in the field of Communication at the University of San Francisco and Santa Rosa Junior College. She is a consultant for the Goldman School of Public Policy at UC Berkeley and a private speaking coach.
Gina's current research interests include identity, performing grief, cultural practices around birth and death, and deconstructing criminality & incarceration.
Most recently Gina presented her research regarding using music to mitigate speaking anxiety at the University of San Francisco Adjunct Research Conference. Her performance piece "Embodied Brainy Broads: Troubling the Backlash Against Informed Birth and Sexual Health" also recently was featured at the National Communication Association Conference in Orlando.
When not being an academic Gina enjoys being crafty, traveling, amateur wood-working, performing, momming out, going on adventures, and changing the world. Some say she has a lot of irons in the fire, but she likes it that way!
